FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Tech-Free Workshops Created for Students After Year of Virtual Learning

LONG VALLEY, NJ – Ditch the computers, mobile devices and video game consoles – this June, Washington Twp. teachers Nancy Rosenblatt and Jeanette Ezeta will be offering Screen Break 2021, a hands-on summer learning experience for students entering grades 1- 6, at Alstede Farms in Chester from 9am-1pm.

The Screen Break 2021’s three-day, tech-free workshops touch on a variety of academic subjects, including math, science, creative writing and Spanish language skills, utilizing the unique setting of Alstede Farms to make the learning fun, interesting and memorable.

Space is Limited. Registration is $249 per child, per session. Additional information on content and registration is available at www.screenbreak.org or by calling 908-867-8181.

Long Valley Middle School teachers Nancy Rosenblatt and Jeanette Ezeta developed the idea of Screen Break 2021 after witnessing the struggles that many students had trying to adapt virtual learning over the course of the past school year. “As seasoned teachers, we realized that there was a need to renew students’ love of traditional learning,” Nancy says.

Screen Break will offer students two, three-day Sessions in June. With the help of Alstede Farm’s interactive environment, Screen Break workshops will enrich the lives of young learners through creative, hands-on, and immersive experiences.

Session One will take place June, 16th, 17th & 18th.

Session Two will take place June 21st, 22nd & 23rd.

All workshops are created and instructed by NJ Certified Teachers.

Screen Break hopes to offer additional workshops throughout the year.
