Speaker: David Reidmiller, Director, Climate Center, Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI)
David led the science negotiations for the U.S. leading up to the Paris Climate Agreement. In his talk, he will discuss what made the Agreement possible and lessons in climate communication and consensus-building. He will also describe how his experience with climate science policy motivated him to move to Maine, where he’s launching GMRI’s climate center to address risks and opportunities in one of the world’s fastest warming areas.
