5th Annual New England Craft Brew Summit

The Maine Brewers’ Guild is excited to host the 2020 New England Craft Brew Summit in Portland, Maine. Now in its fifth year, the New England Brew Summit is the largest B2B conference for the craft beer industry on the East Coast, featuring a day full of workshops that cover the technical, front-of-house and business aspects of running a brewery as well as a big vendor expo.

This year’s theme of ‘Sustainable Growth,’ will explore how brewery professionals can create long-lasting businesses after years of meteoric growth within the craft beverage industry.

Rod Tod, Founder of Allagash Brewing Company, will deliver the keynote address discussing how he’s managed to not only weather industry cycles since founding Allagash in 1994, but build a thriving business and world-class reputation for their Belgian-inspired beers. Tod was recently awarded the 2019 James Beard Award for Outstanding Wine, Spirits, or Beer Producer.

Amidst 20+ other workshop sessions, a robust vendor hall, and networking time, attendees will also get to hear from Neil Witte, Quality Ambassador for the Brewers Association and one of 18 Master Cicerones. His talk, titled ‘Quality: A Complete Picture’ will help brewers understand what a comprehensive quality program is within the brewhouse, and why it matters.

The Maine Brewers’ Guild will also be hosting an invitational beer festival the following day in Portland, with details to be announced in November 2019.
