The Novel Jazz Septet Performs Live at UMF, Farmington
from Arts Institute of Western MaineNOVEL JAZZ TO BRING CLASSIC ELLINGTON AND STRAYHORN TO U. MAINE, FARMINGTON - The Novel Jazz Septet will perform live on Saturday, October 25, at Nordica Auditorium in Merrill Hall on the University of Maine’s Farmington campus at 7:30PM under the auspices of the Arts Institute of Western Maine (AIWM). The concert will feature the swinging music of the great American jazz composers Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. The band will highlight well-known tunes and rare, vintage gems recently unearthed from original scores from the Smithsonian Museum’s Washington D.C. archives.
