StartUp Board Game Tournament Grades 4-7

from Michael Ehrenreich

StartUp Games is hosting the first StartUp Board Game Tournament. StartUp is a business board game designed by two grade school children and their parents in which players compete to guide their new company from launch to the completion of a corporate headquarters.

In the tournament, entrants will play three rounds of StartUp, with the winner determined by overall ranking. First prize will be $100, second prize $75 and third prize $25. The tournament is open to children in grades four through seven. No purchase is required and there is no entry fee.

StartUp was designed during Hurricane Sandy in 2012 when Aiden and Zach Ehrenreich and their mom and dad suddenly found themselves at home for a few days with no school, no work and no place to go. The StartUp board game teaches business and math skills and models many real business situations.
