As part of the Carnegie Hall festival “UBUNTU: Music and Arts of South Africa”, the Paley Center is screening television programs from our collection that include Soul! (1971) with Hugh Masekela and the Union of South Africa, Paul Simon’s Graceland: The African Concert (1987), an interview with Nadine Gordimer on Voices: Writers and Politics (1985) and a 1965 appearance by Miriam Makeba on The Hollywood Palace.
