Enhanced images and early Sanborn maps will be used in this interactive presentation to illustrate the vision and fortitude that our early settlers and community leaders demonstrated as they established a foot-hold in the wilderness along the Kennebec River at Skowhegan Falls. The discussion will wind through the necessity of home manufacturing, community and industrial development at the falls and beyond.
