Join us in this 11 day/10 night residential retreat on Kauai, the Garden Isle, and you will experience an immersion in the sacred and magical art of Hawaiian Lomilomi. Heal yourself in this spiritual retreat while learning new ways to heal others. Lomilomi is described by teacher Aunty Margaret Machado as “the loving touch--a connection between heart, hand, and soul with the source of all life.”
Based on ancient traditions, Hawaiian lomilomi uses sacred HA breathing techniques, visualization, Mana energy work and the rhythms of the Hula dance; it works gently but deeply into the recipient's body, mind and spirit, using continuous flowing wavelike strokes and nurturing the body. It is an experience that overwhelms the mind with sensations and at the same time communicates unconditional love, freedom, joy and acceptance to the inner self.

Unlike many massage modalities, LomiLomi works toward the emotional/ energetic sources of pain and stress to release the root causes, not just alleviate symptoms. In this residential retreat, you will feel the power of Aloha and recognize the unlimited potential we each have through working in harmony with the universal principles, creating transformation for yourself and those you touch.


Over the course of the workshop, you will learn to incorporate the techniques and flow of Lomilomi in the front, back and above and below the body at once and to incorporate the use of heated stones into your bodywork practice. We are also honored to have very special guests sharing their wisdom and experience: Karen Lealoha Carroll and Harry Uhane Jim. They live and breathe aloha and are perfect examples of living and healing the Hawaiian way.

The  location of this retreat will definitely facilitate the feelings of Aloha and abundance, on a hill within sight of the ocean! The house has room for 12 with shared accommodations. The lush surroundings allow you to connect with nature and feel one with the earth. Wireless internet allows you to stay in touch with anyone you wish to...the private location allows you to plead "connection problems" when you need time alone.
Bedrooms overlook lush surroundings. Days will allow plenty of time for meditation, contemplation, processing, one-on-one connections, beach time and exploring beautiful Kauai. We will make sure you are well-fed with breakfast, lunch and dinner to recharge your mana and nourish your body, mind and spirit. you do not need to be a massage therapist to attend and couples are welcome. For those of you who are massage therapists, you will earn 64 hours of NCBTMB and Florida continuing education massage credits.
