Join us for a few days in the country, away from the daily stress. Relax and experience the joy of watercolor pouring. If you enjoy painting with watercolors then this workshop is for you. These all day classes are designed for watercolor painters who have tried painting and would like additional instruction. You will learn watercolor techniques through demonstrations with ample painting time. Joyce will focus on helping you achieve exciting results using this fascinating and addictive medium while gaining knowledge and insights with tips and techniques. You will learn how to pour transparent watercolors, allowing the watery colors to mingle on the surface. You’ll learn the ins and outs of pouring, a great technique for loosening up your painting and creating a lively background and beautifully luminous painting. It is lots of fun and a change of pace.
Joyce was born in Michigan and attended Northern Michigan University.  She continued her studies at Alverno College, receiving a BA in Art Education.  Joyce has always been intrigued by the process of creating, and amazed by the outcome. What fascinates her most about watercolor is the subtlety of the medium, immediacy of results, endless possibilities, and the variations that can be achieved.
The class will be small and relaxed. Some previous experience is a plus. Supply list will be given at time of registration.
Commuters: $120 includes workshop and daily lunch Overnighters: $270 includes workshop, two nights lodging and all meals
