This year, the Governors Island Alliance Family Festival will be held on May 26 from noon to 4pm on Governors Island. This will be the 8th Opening Weekend Family Festival the Governors Island Alliance has hosted on the Island. Children and their families will gather in Nolan Park on Governors Island to enjoy music, theater, dance, arts & crafts, face painting, maritime education and more. Performances will run throughout the day with artists such as Astrograss, The Maybelles, and Arm of the Sea Theater. (from )
