On Thursday, November 8th at 9am at the MDI YMCA, enjoy a free talk and presentation by George Neptune, a Passamaquoddy basket maker from the Abbe Museum. He will be talking about the evolution of the ash and sweet grass basket traditions. George is from a long line of famous basket makers. His grandmother, Molly Neptune-Parker just went to D.C. to receive the National Fellowship Award. George is young, innovative and is known to break the rules of traditional basket making. Come see his wonderful baskets. Participants are free to use the Y facility after the talk. The Y is at 21 Park St. (from )
