from Eventbrite

Please join us for a unique ethical exploration presented by
Business Ethics Alliance and the Omaha Scottish Rite
on April 24th, 2014,
in the beautiful Scottish Rite theater.
In the form of a mock-trial "Medical Ethics," as brought to life by Amy Haddad, appears as an "expert witness" as she explores the ethics of David Shimp's decision to change his mind about donating his bone marrow to save the life of his cousin, Robert McFall.
"This court case has been cited in analysis of tissue donation from a legal point of view, its ruling on the compelled use of the body of a non-consenting person to benefit another person has also been cited in legal analysis of the abortion debate and of women's rights during pregnancy." (wikipedia)

And by the way ... the verdict hasn't been scripted ...
Judge John P Flaherty Jr said Shimp's decision to change his mind was "morally indefensible."
