Drive Safer Basic Car Control Clinic

from jenna wasserman

Students in the area will get to have their first (hopefully) Oh My God moment while driving their own vehicle. The only driving education offered to teens is Driver’s Ed in high school (sitting behind a desk) and then 6 hours behind the wheel to get their permit. Six hours of foot-to-pedal contact will never be enough to prepare our new drivers.

The NJ-based company, Drive Safer, LLC, takes a proactive approach at educating our young drivers by offering a focused car control course that teaches them how to control their vehicles in uncontrollable situations. The programs are designed to be safe, educational and fun. The course consists of a classroom session including tech education, followed by the experiential driving course that features four “behind the wheel” exercises (Braking, Slalom, Skid Pad and Hazard Avoidance) in their own vehicles with certified high-performance driving instructors in a safe, controlled environment.

The Drive Safer event will be held at MetLife Stadium with 12% of each partner high school student's registration fee donated back to their school's fundraising program. We also offer those who complete the course a 2 point reduction on their driver’s license, as well as a possible decrease on their insurance premiums.

Teen drivers are at-risk because of their inexperience and Drive Safer is committed to making sure that the first time they experience any hazardous driving situation, it's in a safe, controlled environment where they are able to learn the proper way to control their vehicle.
Must be at least 16 years old.

Drive Safer offers a teen driving boot camp that teaches drivers how to control their vehicles and survive on the road.
