Cauldron Bubble

from The Theater Project

The Theater Project of Brunswick continues their 45th Anniversary Season with CAULDRON BUBBLE by Brian Daly, running October 28 - November 6. For this special anniversary season The Theater Project has chosen to feature original plays by local authors.

Presented by the supremely talented high school actors of The Young Company, CAULDRON BUBBLE is the story of a student who believes he's jinxed his school's production of Macbeth. Are all these mysterious and unfortunate happenings just coincidence? Or is there more to "The Curse" than we know? Directed by Putnam Smith and featuring a dozen local high school students from Brunswick, Topsham and Bath, this comedy is great for the season and great for most ages.

Author Brian Daly has also written Big and Hairy, a children's novel published by Minstrel Books, as well as the screenplay adaptation of the same name, which appeared on Showtime and starred Richard Thomas. For the stage, Brian has written the book, music and lyrics for Come Out Swingin'!, a new musical about Lewiston hosting the Muhammed Ali vs. Sonny Liston heavyweight title fight in 1965. Cauldron Bubble will be his first produced play. Brian is an educational technician at South Portland High School. He and his wife have two daughters who are starting their careers in the theater.

CAULDRON BUBBLE runs October 28 - November 6. Performance times are Friday/Saturdays at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 2:00 pm. All tickets are Pay-What-You-Want, with a suggested price of $12, available online anytime at theaterproject.com or at 729-8584. The Theater Project is located at 14 School Street in Brunswick, and is a 501(c)(3) organization. (from )
