Led by Principal Conductor Keith Lockhart, the BBC Concert Orchestra is one of the UK’s most versatile ensembles. It has a wide and flexible repertoire, ranging from classical works and musical theater to light music and film scores, and appears with a huge range of artists every year. Since 1952 it has been the house orchestra for BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night Is Music Night.

In addition to conducting the BBC, Lockhart is the conductor of the Boston Pops, one of the world’s most distinguished collections of musicians. Lockhart became the 20th conductor of the Boston Pops in 1995, adding his artistic vision to the Pops tradition established by his predecessors John Williams and Arthur Fiedler. (from )
