American Songbook

from NJPAC Shows

The new season of American Songbook at NJPAC features Broadway and cabaret stars Marilyn Maye (favorite of Tonight Show viewers), Tommy Tune (nine-time Tony-winning legend), Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman (the hit songwriting team behind Hairspray), John Pizzarelli (N.J.'s own GRAMMY-nominated jazzman), Nellie McKay (singer-songwriter star of cabaret and Broadway) and Laura Osnes & Santino Fontana(Tony-nominated leads from Broadway's Cinderella).
The artists perform before a live audience in the intimate Victoria Theater, then join theater insider Ted Chapin for a Q&A. The sessions are taped for future broadcast on WNET, NJTV and WLIW.

Saturday’s schedule includes: Maye, Tune and Shaiman & Wittman. On Sunday, American Songbook at NJPAC features Pizzarelli, McKay and Osnes & Fontana.

Each musical guest will perform for about 40 minutes, then have a short interview with Chapin, the President of Rodgers & Hammerstein: An Imagem
Company.

American Songbook at NJPAC is presented, in part, through the generosity of the Blanche
and Irving Laurie Foundation and David S. Steiner and Sylvia Steiner Charitable Trust and benefits NJPAC’s arts education initiatives.
