 About the “RUN FOR IT” Program
 The “Run For It” Program is the Official Charity Program of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic. The goal of the “Run For It” Program is to raise $1 million and serve the Greater New Orleans area needs.  Each year, the Crescent City Classic choses 10 local Charities to support and partner with for the following year’s Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10k race.   
The Crescent City Classic donates 100 Charity bib numbers (guaranteed race entries) to each Charity Partner for the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10k.  Official Charity Partners recruit 100 runners/walkers who can commit to raising a minimum of $200 for their Charity by race day (next year on April 19, 2014). 
The Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic is produced by the Crescent City Fitness Foundation, a 501C3 non-profit entity.  The funds and positive impact of the “Run For It” Program are important to the success of the Crescent City Fitness Foundation’s mission, and the Classic is proud to support local charities and their fundraising endeavors.

HAVE FUN!  Pick up your Charity bib # & t-shirt from your Charity's booth at the Health & Fitness Expo.  On Race Day meet up with your teammates in Champion Square, run or walk the 6.2 mile course & have fun at the Michelob Ultra RaceFest!

COURSE:This new fast, point to point course is a USAT&F sanctioned and certified 10,000 meters.  It starts on Poydras at Loyola Ave near the Superdome, and runs you right through the financial district, historical Jackson Square, tree lined Esplanade Avenue and beautiful City Park. 
T-SHIRTS: All participants receive a race t-shirt with registration.  You may either pick up their T-shirts at the Crescent City Classic Health and Fitness Expo, at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans the Thursday and Friday before the race or on race day at the Race Fest at City Park. Requested shirt sizes are not guaranteed to entrants on race day.
ASSIGNMENTS: Entrants will be assigned to a color group based on their recent estimated 10,000 meter times. On the application, be sure to list your expected Crescent City Classic finish time.  Please give consideration to the large number of runners.  Slower participants who start ahead of faster participants at the starting line create a severe hazard to the faster runners who attempt to pass, so PLEASE BE ACCURATE!  Entrants not supplying an estimated time will be placed in the slowest group. All participants who plan on walking/running with a stroller MUST select the last walking group: 90+ mins for the safety of themselves and others.
SEEDED ENTRANTS & AWARDS:Runners wanting to be seeded in the faster starting groups A, B, or C must attach written verification that they have run a 10,000 meter time of under 45:00 minutes within the last six months. If you do not provide written verification (i.e. a copy of printed race results or a finisher's certificate), you will not be seeded in the faster groups. Unique trophies and prize money await the overall finishers. Limited edition Crescent City Classic race posters are given to the first 500 finishers. All participants will receive a scoring chip to be eligible for race awards.
POST RACE FESTIVITIES:After the race, plan to enjoy road racing's greatest post-race party, complete with a free concert featuring some of New Orleans' most famous and favorite musicians.   Water, fruit, jambalaya, red beans and rice, beer and soft drinks are provided free to all registered race participants compliments of our sponsors.  For a $5.00 cover charge, friends and family will be able to join in the fun and receive the complimentary refreshments offered at the post race party.
THE HOST HOTEL:The Hyatt Regency New Orleans on Loyola Ave. is the Expo site and Race Headquarters. Plan a weekend in New Orleans at our host hotel and enjoy the City's restaurants, the French Quarter, and the shops and sites along Poydras St. Because of the limited room space available at the special Crescent City Classic rate, please plan ahead and make your reservations early to take advantage of this great bargain! See our website: www.ccc10k.com for reservation instructions.  (from )
